Pontiac 400 parts are interchangeable with the Chevy 400 engine parts?

I recently bought a 78 Trans Am with the stock 400 motors. I been looking for parts for it and some are Pontiac 400 and some are for Chevy 400. Are they the same? I know they r both GM but I just want 2 make sure before buying a crankshaft $ 400 and many other parts. Similarly, not all know a good site for this performance car?

The Pontiac 400 is a completely different engine than the 400 INCHER Chevrolet. Chevrolet never put their 400 cubic inch small block engine with a Camaro or Trans Am or newer than yours.
