Diesel Chevy Colorado

diesel light trucks in the U.S. market?

I became interested in a new pick up my cleaning the pool business. I currently drive a Nissan Frontier Crew works well, but receives only 17 mpg City 20 or so the road. long term, truck of similar size, maybe an extended cab, it would be nice (longer bed, no real need to transport more children). interested in diesel, but nobody seems to be one in the category of light trucks (Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, Mazda B2000, etc.) perhaps there is some thing in other brands, they do not have many diesel light trucks in Europe? I looked izusu, but it seems there is only one small truck gas? I a lot of city driving, and live in the south cold weather departure is not a problem, and bio-diesel, are now becoming available in our region. any thoughts, ideas, fact?

Jeep would be a diesel, but I do not think he ever came on the market. If automakers did a smaller diesel truck that got 25 to 30 + mpg, it would be a big seller. But they continue to handle the massive gas hogs, and people keep buying them.
