Why not Ford, Chevy, Dodge or the use of the programming of independent programmers use to better MPG?

I know that on factor idiot when the power is turned on so a programmer diesel, but why not use the vehicle tuning manufacters light to provide improved fuel economy. I had the advantage on my 6.0L F250 and has acquired a PG year, but had to remove the security reasons (in and out of the shop too many times). I thought the handling was much better with it on.
