I have 1991 Chevrolet Astro van with 4.3 V6 LT 150HP and just why?
We found in these few days of small cars with engine 2.0 lt 4cylinders but with 180HP?, How it can happen and if it is so high (theoretically) put these engines in a heavy car like mine to increase its power, and what is behind the venture.
It depends on the vehicle, the engine is in. An astro van does not need a hot rod / motor puree HP just enough to get around 100 mph and high torque to pull and whatever on a trailer there. Also remember these figures are 1991. The same engine has now evolved into a base of 200 hp / 250tq. (There are just two years they were based around 190hp/230tq) Hi Release versions may be a number much higher than that – the GMC Cyclone Turbo was rated 280hp/350tq with the same block. GM also is in the fuel injected engine of this era for about 5 years old in '91. As you can see from their original 283 IF, it takes several years to develop an engine for configuration proper injection. You must also consider the 4.3L is strictly a necklace, it was mainly used in vehicles Model basic need more pulling power of a smaller displacement engine. say this engine has never been used in a model Car production (if it did, it would be better than any N / A V6 GM)

Chevrolet Cobalt $117.9 The Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact car introduced by Chevrolet in 2004 for the 2005 model year. The Cobalt replaced the Cavalier and the Prizm as Chevrolets compact car. It is available as both a coupe and sedan and is based upon the GM Delta platform also shared with the Chevrolet HHR, Pontiac G5, Astra (Opel, Vauxhall, Holden, and Saturn marques), and the Opel Zafira (a seven seat MPV). Also available is a high performance, Super Sport variant. All Cobalts are currently manufactured at GMs Lordstown Assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio. The United States Environmental Protection Agency classifies the Cobalt as a subcompact car. Starting in 2009, Chevrolet will launch the Cobalts global successor the Chevrolet Cruze (based on the new Delta II platform) in Europe with launches in other markets (including the US) to proceed in 2010. The Cruze will be built in multiple locations around the world including the Lordstown Assembly, at which the Cruze will briefly be built alongside the Cobalt until the latter is completely phased out. Chevrolet Nova $81.25 The Chevrolet Monza is a subcompact, fourpassenger automobile that was introduced September 1974, and produced for the 1975 through 1980 model years. Monza is based on the Chevrolet Vega, and shares Vegas wheelbase and width, and was produced with HBody variants Buick Skyhawk, Oldsmobile Starfire and Pontiac Sunbird. It competed with other sporty coupes including Toyota Celica, Capri, Opel 1900 Manta, and the downsized Ford Mustang II, as well as the rotaryengined Mazda RX2, Rx3 and Rx4 coupes. The Monza nameplate was originally used for the Chevrolet Corvair. The Chevrolet Nova is an automobile produced in the United States from 1962 to 1979 by the Chevrolet division of General Motors and from 1985 to 1988 by the NUMMI, a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota. In its original form it was the top model in the compact Chevy II range and was marketed as the Chevrolet Chevy II Nova until the Chevy II name was dropped for the 1969 model year. The original platform was discontinued and the name returned as a front wheel drive subcompact car based on the Japanese Toyota Sprinter.
